Lorraine Morales Cox
I am student and scholar of visual art. My research focuses on contemporary art engaged in social critical practices involving issues of race, gender, sexuality and ethnicity and broader issues of globalization. I have been studying and working with other scholars on exploring the increasing use of collaboration between artists/scholars/activist/communities to address the subjects I am interested. I am also interested in utilizing creativity exercises, for myself and my students, and have attended several workshops on the topic. I would like to find interesting, productive and innovative ways to utilize brainstorming "mapping" with students to make them more engaged in being active participants in a more creative learning process.
