I've been involved with initiatives to integrate engineering and liberal education while Dean of Engineering at Union (2005-2011). The Symposium on Engineering and Liberal Education was initiated, several new integrated courses were supported, and other creative ways, of bringing students from HU/SS together with students in science and engineering to study or solve problems together were developed.
